1. Who Is Salma in Nivalis Nights?

Unlike procedural background NPCs, Salma is an authored character featuring custom voice lines, daily routines, and a dedicated multi-stage investigation questline. Born in the dense residential levels of Lower Nivalis, Salma works odd logistics jobs while desperately searching for clues regarding her brother, who vanished during a late-night transport shift.

2. Step-by-Step 'Find Salma's Brother' Walkthrough

To trigger and complete Salma's questline smoothly, follow this chronological investigation sequence across the 18 city districts:

1. Initiate Dialogue in Lowtown: Head to the neon railing near Canal Dock #3 after 17:00. Speak with Salma to accept the quest and receive Tariq's last known shipping manifest number (#SK-904).
2. Interview Dock Workers: Take your motorboat or footbridge to the Docks District. Speak with the harbor master and cargo handlers near the crane gantry to narrow down Tariq's last assigned storage unit.
3. Search Storage Locker #14: Locate Locker #14 behind the rusted shipping containers. You can either slice the electronic keypad using an EMP lockpick or retrieve the keycard from the harbor supervisor's desk.
4. Recover the Encrypted Datapad: Inside the locker, inspect the workbench to find Tariq's personal datapad. The logs confirm his escape to an offshore research rig to escape local syndicate debts.
5. Deliver the Truth to Salma: Return to Lowtown before the 02:00 curfew. Present the datapad to Salma to resolve her lingering questions and complete the narrative arc.

3. Quest Rewards & Steam Achievement Unlock

Resolving the investigation immediately triggers the "Find Salma's Brother" Steam achievement on your account. In addition to the trophy, completing this arc delivers practical gameplay benefits:

• 3,500 Credits Cash Bounty: Salma pools her savings to reward your investigative efforts, providing crucial early-game capital for your noodle stand upgrades.
• Lowtown Supplier Discount: Salma introduces you to local wholesalers, reducing fresh ingredient procurement costs by 10% across Lowtown vendors.
• Reputation Boost: Boosts your standing with everyday citizens, contributing toward community trust milestones and our comprehensive Steam Achievements Guide.

4. Relationship & Friendship Mechanics

While Salma is not a primary romance candidate like Ava, maintaining positive rapport with her provides ongoing ambient dialogue updates and secondary tips on local fishing spots and canal traffic patterns. Visiting her during rainy nights also triggers unique voice lines detailing life in Old Nivalis before the great floods.
